JUNE 2009 UPDATE.......STILL LOADS OF WORK NEEDED TO UPDATE SPECIALS AND STANDARD PARTS , MELBOURNES NEWEST RHINO LININGS DEALER AND THE GREAT JK DEATH WOBBLE MYSTERY!!!!
Hi Jeepers,
I've been trying to update the new USA 4X4 website but the shop keeps tieing my time up in general day to day running. We run not only a spare parts business but a service center and work shop we need 28 hr days to get everything done.
Add to that our commitment to Jeep Action Australia magazine writing the Dr Jeep articles it seems I never will get this task done, so meanwhile direct any queries thru the enquiry page and we'll respond directly to you.
In the meantime USA 4X4 have beocome the latest Rhino Linings agent for melboune south/east and will be setting up a spary both and work shop dedicated to the trickest 2 pack polyurethane product you can get for your truck bed or jeep floor, we have even seen jeep exteriors done in Rhino and it looks awesome. we'll be doing utes, trailers, jet skis and anything else we can think of so instead of sticking in a loose fitting liner or padding ask us about a Rhino lining application for the job your thinking of.
Other great news is the new Rancho prices, were a stockist direct from the manufactuer and S.A. based Tennaco Automotive the true owner of the rancho product world wide, and they have dropped there prices so one RS9000XL is not the same price as another even though one dealer still charges like the old wounded bull for all of them, the factory has adjusted our costs so we adjust for you instead of ripping the end guy off. we'll get a full list of stocked rancho shocks up asap and any that arent in that list will be still well priced but a wait of uop to 10 weeks can apply as they are all shiped by sea to keep the cost down.
We are also starting to fit up the new wireless MyRide RS999705 kits to the RS9000XL shocks and wow are they great, there super fast and super adjustable and cheaper than the old kit was! were doing them for $460.
Were also working on a big problem you JK owners all face, seems when a JK hits about the 50K mark there developing a vicios death wobble! that is a voilent steering wheel shake and front wheel shake and I get a call a week on these wether there lifted or not. we have been doing out own mod to help but there is more to it than meets the eye just yet.....to be continued.
other great news is our pre-dollar slump WARN products are going for cheap, we have a small amount of JK and TJ bars, sliders and mounts are all at 2008 prices and until stock is sold out were happy to pass on the savings. see the WARN pages for those specials.
I'll also get a FAQ page relating to our custom TJ and JK suspension kits that will be rite on the money both legally and cost wise. I'll also try to upload all the Dr Jeep & the Jeep Hospital articles I write for the JAA magazine for further interesting info.
other JK news, USA 4X4 have been R&D'ing several new products and have succesfully lifted several 2 and 4 doors using the new 999 rancho shock. one 4 door diesel we did recently in the shop went up 50mm (loaded) with the RANCHO 999's and the new TERAFLEX rear track arm bracket that has 3 different height settings - allowing us to run the stock rear panard rod and with a set of 16x7 steelies with just enough offset to be legal for the the new NCOP we were able to set up the rear sway bar links so they didnt foul on the rear right wheel. thats been a major drama with the RHD JK but we have ways around it. weve had to tune a few JK kits fitted elswhere with that as one of the majot issues.
We also did the first POLYAIR rear air bag in a JK in the world!! they didnt have a kit so we developed one for them, allowing a horse float to be towed by that rig while not riding like a pogo stick when not towing. it worked really well. we added TERAFLEX discos to the front and came up with our typical limo to race car adjustable ride we've been famous for with all he previous jeep models we play with here. the ride was awesome, the owner told us "its another car, I cant believe it".
Cheers for now, USA 4x4 management.
